Kevin Germanier Exhibition

Kevin Germanier stands out for his innovative approach to recycling, transforming scraps into vibrant fashion pieces. His designs are deeply rooted in personal history, with his family actively contributing to the creative process. Inspired by childhood memories and bright colors, his work radiates joy and dreams. A Central Saint Martins alumnus, Germanier has dressed celebrities and earned accolades, including the Eco Chic Design Award and a finalist spot for the LVMH Prize. An exhibition by Kevin Germanier curated by Laurence Benaïm, the official biographer of YSL and a fashion expert.

Genesis

The early 90s ushered in a new era in the world of couture that would last well into the early 2000s. Characterized by a multifaceted aesthetic and the emergence of a new wave of innovative designers, the decade celebrated diversity. Flamboyance rubbed shoulders with minimalism, fashion shows became veritable spectacles, a cross-fertilization of references, and a wind of exuberance swept away the codified silhouettes of the 80s runways. We wanted to highlight some emblematic pieces from these seminal years: creations whose impact still resonates today.
